Founder & Medical Director

Ramesh Peramsetty, MD is a board certified family practitioner. He finished his residency in Family Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a member of various societies including: American College of Phlebology, American Society of Laser Medicine & Surgery, American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and American Society of Bariatric Physicians (ASBP). He is the Founding Medical Director of Alabama Family Medical Center, Crimson Urgent Care, Tuscaloosa MedSpa and Tuscaloosa Medi-Weightloss. He has been living and practicing medicine in Tuscaloosa since 1998.

Dr. Peramsetty has vast training, experience and interest in current trends in Laser Medicine and Cosmetic Medicine. In addition to his certifications in various laser treatments including GentleMAX, GentleYAG, AlexTrivantage, and I2PL, he is also certified in BOTOX® Cosmetic, Mesotherapy, and dermal fillers including: Radiesse®, Restylane®, Juvéderm® and Sculptra™.

Director of Operations/Consultant, Senior Laser Clinician

As the Director of Operations at Tuscaloosa MedSpa, Sunny conducts one-on-one treatment consultations, performs skin analysis and determines/recommends services and products. Sunny holds a degree in Business and is certified in Laser Technology by Candela Corporation. She specializes in laser hair removal, skin tightening, vascular therapy, photo rejuvenation and laser resurfacing. She has extensive knowledge of cosmetic non-surgical treatments. She has vast product knowledge of a multitude of spa and medical grade products. She has a thorough understanding of skin anatomy and functions which allows her to perform detailed skin analysis and recommend customized treatments and home skin care programs. Jill McDonald

Client Relations Coordinator

Jill is one of the initial employees to greet you when arriving at Tuscaloosa MedSpa. Her cheery face and warm smile will make you feel at ease when checking in for your appointment. Jill works closely with clinicians and staff to maintain efficient clinic functions and ensure successful operation of daily responsibilities. She will be there to answer any questions you may have before and after procedures, as well as to make your experience with our practice a pleasant one. Mary Katherine Mathews

Licensed Esthetician

Mary Katherine is a Licensed Esthetician and Licensed Cosmetologist. Mary Katherine continues to enhance her knowledge in the world of aesthetics. She is certified to perform advanced microdermabrasion treatments using both medical and non medical equipment, cellulite reduction using Transderm as well as the most effective skin treatments for all skin types. She can perform all types of facials including anti-aging, deep pore cleansing treatment, acne treatments, chemical peels, and mesotherapy. Mary Katherine received extensive training in the use of medical skin care lines including Skinceuticals, Skin Medica, Obagi, Neostrata, Biomedics. She specializes in Body treatments like the Detoxifying Seaweed and Anti-Cellulite Herbal Linen Wrap. Clients benefit from her knowledge of skin therapy under her pampering hands.
